DRUMMOND - The Class C Western Division of the Montana High School Association has awarded PrepSportsMT.com with the exclusive rights to act as the Digital Media Guide for its 2024 District & Division Basketball Tournaments for both boys & girls.
"I'm very excited about what this will do for the players, schools, and supporters of these events," said Tim Allen, Owner/Operator of PrepSportsMT.com and Granite County's FlintCreekCourier.com. "It's my opinion that the print media that previously serviced this division wasn't playing very fair with the schools, charging them to produce a printed media guide that they then profited from solely. PrepSportsMT.com not only hopes to change that, but to maybe put a few bucks back in the budget of those programs."
Allen's website is seeking corporate sponsors for the bulk of the advertising, but is also allowing teams to find businesses local to their area that will advertise of their school page. Part of that money will go back to the school's athletic program.
During the 2023 Class C Western Division Volleyball Postseason, PrepSportsMT.com covered all three district events and the divisional with scores, updated brackets, and game images when possible. Without any kind of onsite promotion at the four tournaments, PrepSportsMT.com garnered almost 8,000 users. With the Class C Western Division now using the website exclusively, it is likely that traffic will rise into the tens of thousands over the two-week postseason.
The 2024 Basketball Postseason will double the number of tournaments covered to eight for both boys and girls.
